The faculty had participated in the organizing of the " International Conference for Facilitating Disabled Tourism: Reality Vs. Expectations", which was held at Amman – Jordan from 11-4-2015 to 13-4-2015. In addition to the faculty and the university participation with scientific researches and workshops, as follows: Prof. Dr. Adel Hammam – Dean of the faculty, Dr. Hany Khattab (Tourism Studies Department), Ass.Prof. Noha el Shaer and Dr. Sally Fathy (Hotels Administration Department), Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim abd El Maguid (Vice Dean Faculty of Physical Therapy) and Representative for October 6 University. • The Conference Objectives: 1. To provide a discussion forum of major issues related to accessible tourism with a view to identify key polices and strategy elements for promoting Accessible Tourism. 2. To provide information including the best practice of Accessible Tourism to policy makers, industry players, consumers and public, in turn would result in proactive and concert action in promoting Accessible Tourism. 3. To highlight the existence of Accessible Tourism that is aimed to draw attention to this niche market in the tourism sector could encourage for more accessible in various places. 4. To enhance the accessible tourism network in the world that consists of the elderly and PWDs as stakeholder including tourism organizations in order the attractions to be facilitate more systematically.
