Methods of Injections’ Workshops

       Throughout the first term of the academic year 2019-2020, Faculty of Medicine, October 6 University is carrying out workshops for the first level medical students on a weekly basis, to train them on the different methods of injections to improve their medical skills. Dr. Nervana El-Shalakany the Head of general anesthesia department provides training and information on the methods of subcutaneous, intramuscular and intravenous injections at the center of continuous medical education. The workshop also included the method of application of I.V. canulae for intravenous fluid therapy. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Hafez Lecturer of clinical pathology presents the method of blood transfusion and the hazards of blood born infection and the tests required for the donors. Check list for evaluating the students performance is applied by the trainers and handled to the students who passed the evaluation by the end of the day to keep it in the students portfolio.
