October 6 University issues a package of decisions in favor of its students

In the context of 6 October University's keenness on the future of its students and its contribution to lift the burden on students, and provide all the requirements for distance education and e-learning And in view of the conditions that the country is going through due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the Board of Trustees of October 6 University, headed by Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr, issued a package of decisions based on its societal and developmental role and its responsibilities towards society, and these decisions include the following:

- A contract with Telecom Egypt to provide internet for all students, and the university bears its value, to use it to download courses and deal with the university's educational platform To conduct electronic exams and submit research, and the university will send the method of obtaining this service to all students via the student’s academic email, and each student is required to ensure that his academic e-mail is activated. Because it is the official means of communication between the university and the student - and it will be used in dealing with the university to send research projects.

- Returning the part of the value of university housing and university buses that were not used by students "enrolled in the second semester", this is for finalist students who will graduate this year. As for students of first, second and third year "enrolled in the second semester," this value will be deducted from the tuition fees for the next academic year .Provided that after the suspension period, the university calculates the value of these sums for each student.

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, received a letter from Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of October 6 University, confirming the university's support for the state in all the precautionary measures it has taken to confront the negative repercussions caused by the emerging "Corona" pandemic, announcing The university donated 10 million pounds; As a contribution on the part of the university to bear some of the costs of these negative repercussions in support of the state, and to make its efforts in this regard succeed.

The Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees praised the decisions taken by the government during the past period related to precautionary and preventive measures, as well as the efforts it is making to overcome the economic impacts, authorizing the Prime Minister to distribute the donation amount to the items that are spent on in the context of confronting this virus.

For his part, the Prime Minister thanked the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of 6 October University, and all its employees, for this national initiative, stressing that the solidarity provided by Egyptians in the face of this crisis provides an example of what should we act like in times of major crises and disasters.
