October 6 University has succeeded in attaining the international green metric classification for environmentally friendly universities for the year 2020, becoming the first Egyptian private university to enter this classification, which includes six main criteria related to environment and sustainability within the campus, which are infrastructure and efficiency in the use of energy, water, transportation and recycling waste and educational and research preparations. It is worth mentioning that October 6 University is ranked sixth among the Egyptian universities and ranked number 523 out of 912 universities around the world.
