October 6 University Signs A Protocol Of Cooperation With The Arab Organization For Industrialization

October 6 University signed a protocol of cooperation with the Arab Organization for Industrialization in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Gamal Samy Ali, President of October 6 University, and Lieutenant-General Abdel Moneim Al-Terras, President of the Arab Organization for Industrialization. The signing of this protocol comes in a framework for enhancing scientific, research and training cooperation, to support the digital transformation strategy, and to implement research projects and innovations that are industrially applicable.

Lieutenant-General Abdel Moneim Al-Terras, Head of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, pointed out the importance of implementing President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to promote digital transformation and electronic automation for all educational and governmental institutions, explaining that Arab Industrialization puts all its capabilities and technological expertise to manage all the needs of colleges and research centers affiliated with October 6 University.

Lieutenant-General Abdel Moneim Al-Terras explained that it was agreed, through this protocol, to meet the professional needs of October 6 University in many areas, including digital transformation, electronic mechanization, and the development of various educational aids, including computers, laboratories, electronic display screens, surveillance camera systems, administrative and educational furniture, solar plants and energy-saving systems. And water-saving systems, sports bikes, electronics, medical devices and supplies, hazardous medical waste incinerators, environmental protection equipment and many other areas that serve the development plans and strategies adopted by the university.

The Terrace also indicated that the areas of cooperation also include training in various engineering disciplines in the production and research units of the authority, organizing field visits, holding competitions, exhibitions, joint scientific, research and innovation forums, facilitating patent registration of inventions, and supporting applicable projects to serve the various manufacturing sectors.

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr expressed his confidence in the success of this cooperation due to the continuous support provided by the Arab Organization for Industrialization to various scientific and research institutions in the fields of training and scientific research and its constructive role in transforming research outputs into applied models that can be used in various industrial fields, in addition to the contributions provided by the authority in qualifying the labor market, and this cooperation is a starting point for pursuing the progress the country is witnessing at this stage of rapid and successive developments and the need for all agencies and bodies to cooperate with universities to support graduates, train them and encourage new innovations.

Prof. Gamal Samy stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation with Arab Industrialization in the field of infrastructure to serve digital transformation plans, and in accordance with the latest systems that ensure the achievement of international quality standards.

At the end of the protocol signing ceremony, memorial shields were exchanged.
