October 6 University welcomes the Indonesian delegation at the Faculty of Education.

On Sunday, November 3, 2024, October 6 University welcomed the Indonesian delegation in line with activating the Memorandum of Understanding between October 6 University and Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University of Indonesia. The agreement focuses on scientific research, Arabic language education, cultural exchange, and international community service.

The Indonesian side was represented by 6 doctoral students, 2 undergraduate students, and their accompanying professors: Dr. Mustafa, Professor of Linguistics at the Faculty of Arts, Sunan Kalijaga University; Dr. Ahmed Fattah, Professor of Arabic Language and Prosody (Poetry Metrics); and Dr. Noor Al-Na'mah, Professor of Arabic Calligraphy at the Faculty of Education, Sunan Kalijaga University.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, President of October 6 University, along with the university vice presidents: His Excellency Prof. Dr. Yasser Dakroury, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Her Excellency Prof. Dr. Eman Al-Azizi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. They affirmed their ongoing support for establishing more international agreements and leadership in this field, given the university's excellent reputation locally, regionally, and internationally, in line with its vision and mission.

Her Excellency Prof. Dr. Rokaya Shalaby, Dean of the Faculty of Education, expressed her delight in hosting the Indonesian delegation and described the agreement as a distinguished and pioneering step for the Faculty of Education and October 6 University.

The delegation was accompanied by the faculty's acting vice deans: Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Acting Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Mohamed El-Shafie, Acting Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, as well as Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel Qader, Head of the Arabic Language and Islamic Studies Department and the university's agreement coordinator. Faculty members from the department also attended, including Dr. Manal Madkour, Lecturer in Literary Studies, and Dr. Sulaiman Ibrahim, Lecturer in Syntax and Morphology.

The Arabic Language Department has prepared an educational and research program that reflects the scientific, cultural, and educational cooperation and exchange between the two parties.

The university and the faculty look forward to concluding and implementing more international agreements on the ground.
