And under the presidency of Prof. Dr. Rokaya Shalaby, Dean of the Faculty of Education, and Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Acting Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research and Forum Coordinator, the Faculty of Education at October 6 University organized its First Scientific Forum on Sunday, April 20, 2025, in Hall 1126, College of Engineering Building, October 6 University.
We were honored by the attendance of Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, along with many deans and vice deans of various faculties, faculty members, teaching assistants, students from different colleges of the university, the Faculty's vice deans, a distinguished group of faculty members, teaching assistants, and fourth-year students.

The forum opened with the national anthem, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Dr. Ahmed Zayed, the Forum Coordinator, then delivered a speech welcoming the forum's distinguished guests of scholars, researchers, and promising students. He pointed out that this scientific gathering is the culmination of the Faculty of Education's efforts in supporting scientific research and innovation. The Faculty organized this forum based on its firm belief that youth are the pillar of the future, scientific research is the cornerstone for building a knowledge society, investing in minds is the greatest investment, and that the Faculty is committed to empowering young researchers, equipping them with modern scientific research tools, and linking research outcomes with the needs of society and the labor market, in alignment with Egypt's Vision 2030 for Sustainable Development.
Next, Prof. Dr. Rokaya Shalaby, Dean of the Faculty of Education and President of the Forum, welcomed the attendees. She stated that holding this forum comes at a time when we are in the greatest need of the energies of our promising youth and their applied research that addresses our reality and foresees our future. She also indicated that by hosting this first scientific forum, the Faculty reaffirms its commitment to its noble mission of supporting scientific research, building effective knowledge partnerships, and providing an academic environment stimulating creativity and innovation. She added that the challenges we face today amidst rapid changes impose on all of us a doubled responsibility to support the march of scientific research, overcome difficulties for researchers, and empower them with contemporary knowledge and technological tools.
Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, then spoke, welcoming the attendees and praising the Faculty of Education for organizing this important event that embodies the University's vision towards promoting a culture of scientific research and innovation in light of contemporary challenges and developments. He stated that the forum's title is a clear message highlighting the role of youth as change leaders and a primary driver for building a knowledge-based economy. In an era characterized by technological acceleration and global transformations, we, as universities and researchers, bear the responsibility to keep pace with these developments and establish the foundations of sound scientific research that addresses societal issues and contributes to achieving sustainable development goals.
He called upon the Faculty of Education to exert further efforts in refining researchers' skills and linking scientific research outputs with the needs of the educational field, especially in light of technological advancements and social transformations. Educational research, he affirmed, is the foundational building block for creating generations capable of innovation and global competition.
Following his speech, he distributed October 6 University shields in honor of the forum's distinguished guests.

The forum concluded its activities at 1:30 PM, with hopes to meet again at the Second Scientific Forum of the Faculty of Education, October 6 University. May God perpetuate October 6 University and its colleges as patrons of knowledge and incubators of scholars.
