The College of Nursing participated with the rest of the university’s colleges in the comprehensive development convoy to the primary health unit in the Sixth District, 6th of October City, where the college participated in measuring the blood pressure of the people of the region for 80 individuals.
Randomly measuring the blood sugar level of 80 visitors
Health education was given to 160 people, and a brochure was distributed to them about the causes, symptoms, signs, and how to prevent chronic diseases (hypertension and diabetes) and their complications.
Women were educated about the importance of vaccinations for their children to a number of 100 women, and a brochure with the informational vaccination schedule was distributed for children from the age of one day to 18 months in the children’s clinic.... During the random measurement of blood sugar levels, 7 cases of high diabetes level were discovered and they were referred to the internal medicine clinic.
