A workshop entitled “Program Accreditation Standards” at the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology**
Within the framework of the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology’s keenness to spread a culture of quality and enhance the readiness of its academic programs for accreditation, and under the auspices of the college administration, the college’s Quality Assurance Unit, in cooperation with the University’s Quality Assurance Center, organized, on Monday, May 11, 2026, a workshop entitled **“Standards for Programmatic Accreditation”** in Hall (6119) at the college’s headquarters.
The workshop was led by:
🔹 Professor Dr. Nahed Mustafa - Supervisor of the University’s Quality Assurance Center.
🔹 Professor Dr. Amira Al-Sayed - Director of the University’s Quality Assurance Center.
The workshop aimed to spread awareness of the concept of program accreditation and its importance in developing the educational process and improving the quality of academic outcomes, in addition to introducing the standards of program accreditation and the requirements for achieving them, and the role of faculty members and supporting staff in meeting these standards.
The workshop also covered a detailed review of program accreditation standards and mechanisms for applying them within academic programs, clarifying documentation requirements and supporting evidence, which contributes to enhancing the college’s readiness to apply for accreditation and achieve its goals of academic excellence and quality assurance.
The workshop witnessed distinguished interaction from the faculty members and the supporting staff, through fruitful discussions and raising inquiries related to the mechanisms for implementing program accreditation standards and the challenges associated with them, which gave the workshop a practical and interactive character that contributed to achieving its goals.
