Prof. Dr. Nabila Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Information Systems and Computer Science at October 6 University, extends her heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of October 6 University, and to Prof. Dr. Gamal Samy, President of the University, on the occasion of the faculty achieving second place among governmental and private universities in the Republic in the Sixth Olympiad for the Computer Science and Informatics Sector at Damietta University.
Five projects from the faculty were submitted for the competition, and the project that won second place was titled "Smart Fire Fighting System." The students who participated in the project were Hussein Ali Abdel Maksoud, Mostafa Hossam Hussein Mohamed, Omar Mostafa Abdel Tawab, Abdullah Salem Ali Najm, Ammar Abdel Kareem Attia, Saleh Rabie El-Sayed Hafez, Nadi Sand Hassan Eid, and Somaya Mostafa Abdel Aziz. The project was supervised by Assoc. Prof. Hossam El-Beheiry, Head of the Information Systems Department and Coordinator of the Artificial Intelligence Program at the faculty.
The award was received on behalf of the faculty by Prof. Dr. Nabila Hassan, the Dean of the Faculty, in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education, the Governor of Damietta, and the President of Damietta University.
