Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mona Abu Tabl - Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rehab Abdel Fattah Sharif - Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development
The Faculty of Applied Arts - October 6 University organized a symposium entitled “Change by design” within the framework of the initiative of the community service sector in the faculty “Art and Design. Providing distinguished community services” in order to spread the design thought that is always evolving in line with the goals of sustainable development and Egypt’s 2030 plan
Present at the symposium d. Ahmed Abdel Azim - an Egyptian designer and academic who contributed to the design of many projects inside and outside Egypt. He also designed many commercial units for a group of different brands in several fields, in addition to designing a group of suites and showrooms for many furniture companies inside and outside Egypt.
The symposium started with a speech by Prof. Dr. Rehab Abdel Fattah Sharif - Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development - in which she addressed the goals of sustainable development and the importance of changing design thinking.
In his speech, the lecturer, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Azim, touched on a number of topics, including how the student draws his own path after graduation to have a special imprint in the field of work. He also stressed the importance of the designer making his own design and following international lines in design while preserving the content of identity.
The symposium concluded by presenting a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer in honor of his achievements during his busy career.
