The initiative began with several courses and workshops to train students and weigh their abilities in several colleges, the training courses held at the Faculty of Applied Arts within the "Productive Student" initiative.
Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Gamal Sami, President of October 6 University, and Mrs. Nevine Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Salah Hashem, Advisor to the Ministry for Social Policies, and the follow-up of Prof. Dr. Iman Al-Azizi, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the Ministry of Social Solidarity launched the "Productive Student" initiative, which aims to qualify young people for the labor market by providing training and financing opportunities for micro-projects It contributes to refining the student's personality, supporting his material and social independence, supporting the spirit of innovation and creativity among young people, and encouraging them to invest in their skills and abilities in order to empower and qualify university youth for the labor market, through which productive ideas will be financed for students that are characterized by innovation, and contribute to the development of their incomes at the private level and satisfy the needs of the local market at the public level, -(The winning project from the College of Applied Arts, making products with Macramé threads and hand printing products.
