Activities of the "Water for a Sustainable Future" Symposium

Under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Ismail Mohamed Hafez, and the Vice Dean, Prof. Hinar Abu El-Magd, the Faculty of Engineering organized a symposium entitled "Water for a Sustainable Future." This symposium is in line with the plan of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at October 6 University. This symposium is part of the sector's commitment to raising awareness of the importance of water resources and their vital role in achieving sustainable development.

The symposium began with an opening speech delivered by Professor Dr. Hesham Tamraz, who welcomed the attendees and the distinguished guest speaker, emphasizing the importance of the topic and its role in preserving water security for future generations.

This was followed by a comprehensive presentation by the seminar's guest speaker, who addressed the most prominent challenges facing water resources, ways to rationalize their use, and the importance of combining community and governmental efforts to achieve optimal water use. An extended discussion session was then opened between the attendees and the seminar's guest speaker, during which numerous questions and contributions enriched the dialogue and reflected the participants' interest and awareness of the issue.
The seminar concluded with thanks and appreciation to the attendees for their active engagement and participation, emphasizing the continued organization of such important awareness-raising events in the future.
