Field Trip to the Citadel
As part of the Faculty of Engineering at 6th of October University's commitment to bridging the gap between academic and practical learning and developing students' visual and cognitive skills, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector organized a field trip to the Citadel. The trip was supervised by Professor Dr. Hinar Abu El-Magd, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and included faculty member Dr. Islam El-Shafei.
The visit was part of the "Visual Skills" course activities and aimed to train students in observation and visual analysis of historical and architectural elements, as well as to develop their drawing and creative abilities. During the visit, students documented architectural scenes and distinctive decorative details, and discussed with professors how to draw inspiration from historical elements in contemporary design projects.
The visit was met with a positive response from the students, as it provided an opportunity for practical application in a historical environment rich in architectural and artistic value.
