The Future of the Electric Vehicle Industry and the National Automotive Industry
As part of the Faculty of Engineering's commitment to its community and awareness-raising role in modern industrial and technological fields, a seminar entitled "The Future of the Electric Vehicle Industry and the National Automotive Industry" was organized under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hinar Abu El-Magd, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. The seminar was presented by Eng. Ahmed Abu El-Yazid, Chairman and Managing Director of the Engineering Industries Company.
The seminar aimed to discuss global and local trends in the automotive industry, explore the future of electric vehicles in Egypt, and highlight opportunities for developing the national industry in light of the global shift towards clean energy. A number of faculty members, teaching assistants, and students attended and participated in the seminar.
An open discussion followed between the guest speaker and the attendees, covering several topics, most notably the future of electric charging infrastructure, the possibility of localizing the automotive components industry, and the challenges expected during the transition to electric vehicles. The seminar concluded with taking commemorative photos with the seminar's guest, and expressing thanks and appreciation to His Excellency for his valuable participation, and to the attendees for their constructive interaction.
