Human Rights… Building a Future with and for Our Youth
The Faculty of Engineering participated in a seminar entitled "Human Rights… Building a Future with and for Our Youth," held on Sunday, November 30, 2025, in the VIP Hall. This participation reflects the Faculty's commitment to enhancing human rights awareness among its students and supporting the role of youth in building a future based on justice and equality.
The seminar aimed to solidify the concepts of human rights and highlight their importance in building a balanced society that respects human dignity, as well as emphasizing the pivotal role of youth in protecting and defending these rights.
The seminar featured the following guests:
Professor Dr. Nevin Mosaad, Professor of Political Science at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University, who spoke about guarantees of human rights in the context of armed conflicts.
Dr. Ismail Abdel Rahman, Member of the Human Rights Council and Secretary of the Council's Training Committee.
The seminar discussed several important topics related to the concept of human rights and the fundamental principles upon which they are based. It also addressed the role of youth in shaping the future and the importance of their active participation in societal issues. The rights of different groups within society were also discussed, particularly the rights of women and children, which are considered fundamental pillars of societal stability and progress.
Attendees also emphasized the need to promote a culture of human rights within educational institutions, given its direct impact on shaping the awareness of new generations.
In closing, the importance of continuing to organize such meetings, which contribute to raising students' awareness and strengthening the values of respect, belonging, and responsibility, was underscored.
