Extensive Awareness Campaign on the Dangers of Smoking on Campus
The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, under the supervision of Dr. Hinar Abu Al-Majd, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, organized an extensive awareness campaign on the dangers of smoking on campus.
The campaign aimed to promote health awareness among students and warn them of the serious risks of smoking, both to the individual and to society, including respiratory and cardiovascular diseases and its negative impact on daily performance and quality of life.
During the event, students actively participated in implementing awareness activities, distributing informational brochures and providing simplified explanations to their peers about the dangers of traditional smoking and e-cigarettes. Short meetings were also organized on campus to interact directly with students and encourage them to adopt a healthy, smoke-free lifestyle.
The campaign emphasized the importance of spreading a culture of prevention and maintaining a healthy university environment, while also encouraging students who smoke to take serious steps towards quitting.
