The College of Engineering Welcomes a Group of STEM School Students

Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hinar Abu Al-Magd, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector of the College of Engineering hosted a group of students from a STEM school to promote academic awareness among students at various levels. The visit aimed to introduce the students to the college's departments and academic tracks, helping them discover their interests and choose the appropriate specialization for the future. The visit focused on familiarizing students with the different departments and fields of study within the College of Engineering, explaining the nature of each department, how to choose the most suitable specialization, and supporting students in understanding their interests and abilities and connecting them to the engineering field. It also aimed to strengthen communication between the university and schools to provide academic guidance to students. Faculty members provided an overview of the various departments, including Civil Engineering, Architecture, Electrical Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering, outlining the career paths for each, the required skills, available job opportunities, and the nature of each engineering field.

The visit concluded with an open discussion to answer students' questions and inquiries about studying engineering. The results were to create a clear picture for the students of the nature of each engineering department and to increase their awareness of ways to choose the specialization that suits their inclinations, in addition to motivating them to take an interest in scientific and technological fields and building bridges of communication between the school and the College of Engineering to support students in the future.
