Cooperation Protocol with the Center of Scientific and Technological Excellence of the Ministry of Military Production

In line with the shared vision of preparing Egyptian and Arab technical personnel to join the local and regional labor market, and as part of the steps towards rebuilding the Egyptian and Arab workforce and building a new generation based on science, knowledge, and technology, a cooperation protocol was signed between the following parties:

Party One: The Center of Scientific and Technological Excellence, a unit owned and affiliated with the National Authority for Military Production, and the main research center for military production.

Party Two: 6th of October University.

This protocol aims to develop engineering products in the Authority's factories and companies to achieve greater competitiveness and marketability, as well as to encourage and develop societal capacity for innovation and transform creative ideas into added value. It also seeks to produce specialized graduates who possess a scientific understanding of modern technological and developmental applications and are capable of applying them within companies and factories, within a framework of effective and constructive communication between the university and production institutions. In this context, the university is committed to continuously encouraging faculty members and teaching assistants to produce research with broad practical applications, while also motivating students to acquire as much specialized knowledge as possible through field training at production sites equipped with advanced technological capabilities.

The protocol was signed by:

Dr. Emad Ahmed Darwish Askar – Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center for Scientific and Technological Excellence (representing the first party)

Prof. Mamdouh Mustafa Sayed Ahmed Gharab – President of 6th of October University (representing the second party)

The Faculty of Engineering was represented at the signing ceremony by:

Prof. Mahmoud Mohamed Kamal – Dean of the Faculty of Engineering

Prof. Hinar Abu El-Magd Ahmed – Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development

Associate Professor Mohamed Ali Ibrahim – Director of Field Training at the Faculty

Areas of Cooperation:

The two parties agreed to define the areas of cooperation as follows:

1. Joint cooperation in the field of training through phased implementation.

2. Cooperation in the areas of scientific research and student graduation projects. 3. Cooperation in implementing agreed-upon projects within the Arab Republic of Egypt, as well as projects funded by the Academy of Scientific Research.

4. The first party shall participate in supplying and equipping laboratories that the second party may require, according to the specified specifications, while providing consulting expertise and technical support to acquire state-of-the-art equipment at the best prices, and facilitating the resolution of any obstacles related to contracting and supply.

5. Joint cooperation in obtaining the necessary approvals for implementing projects in the Egyptian market, in a manner that serves the government's development plan.

6. Cooperation in utilizing laboratory services.
