The Right to Adequate Housing and a Sustainable Environment
The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hinar Abu El-Magd, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, and in cooperation with the Human Rights Committee, organized a seminar entitled “The Right to Adequate Housing and a Sustainable Environment” on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
The event included a detailed introductory lecture presented by Dr. Marwa Sayed, during which she addressed the various themes of the seminar, explaining the importance of linking human rights concepts with architectural practice, and the role of urban planning and design in achieving a sustainable built environment that guarantees the human right to adequate housing.
