A Scientific Seminar Entitled "Disaster-Resilient Urban Design"
The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty of Engineering, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hinar Abu El-Magd, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, organized a scientific seminar entitled "Disaster-Resilient Urban Design" on Thursday, March 18th. The seminar was presented by Dr. Islam El-Shafei and Dr. Noha Ibrahim, who delivered a distinguished scientific presentation addressing the most important concepts and principles related to urban design capable of confronting disasters and various environmental challenges.
The seminar aimed to highlight the importance of adopting sustainable urban design concepts that can withstand natural and environmental disasters by enhancing urban resilience and reducing potential risks resulting from climate change and various crises.
This seminar comes within the framework of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector's commitment to raising awareness and promoting a community culture in the areas of sustainability and addressing environmental challenges, thus contributing to preparing qualified personnel capable of dealing with crises efficiently and consciously.
