Nature-Based Solutions for Sustainable Engineering Applications
A seminar titled “Nature-Based Solutions for Sustainable Engineering Applications” was organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector of the Faculty of Engineering at 6th of October University. The seminar, held under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hinar Abu El-Magd, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and in coordination with Dr. Amani Saqr, was a distinguished scientific event. Prof. Dr. Vita Abdel Rahim Ibrahim presented a comprehensive scientific overview of the concept of nature-based solutions and their effective role in achieving sustainability across various engineering fields, particularly in light of environmental challenges and accelerating climate change.
The seminar witnessed significant interaction from faculty members and students. A discussion session was held at the end of the seminar, providing an opportunity to exchange views and raise questions about the mechanisms for implementing these solutions in the local environment.
