Rifaat Al-Jaderji Award 2026 – International Landscape Design Competition

In support of academic activities and to enhance the college's role in community service and environmental development, a group meeting was held for graduates of the Architecture Department in Hall 1304. The meeting was organized under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hinar Abu Al-Magd, Head of the Architecture Department and Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, based on an invitation received via email from the organizing body by Dr. Ali Ahmed Kamal Abdel-Khaleq.

The session was attended by several faculty members and teaching assistants supervising the graduation projects: Professor Dr. Hesham Sameh, Dr. Marwa Sayed, Dr. Ali Ahmed Kamal, Dr. Abdullah Hasaballah, Mr. Ahmed Adel, Ms. Hala Faker, Mr. Ahmed Abdel-Azim, and Ms. Ahoud Hamdi. Also present were faculty members and teaching assistants from the department: Professor Dr. Hinar Abu Al-Magd, Dr. Manar Al-Gamal, Dr. Noha Ibrahim, and Ms. Jenna Mohamed, in addition to the graduating students.

The session was organized in collaboration with the Tamayouz Excellence Award and presented by Dr. Jala Al-Makhzoumi, Vice President of the International Union of Landscape Architects (UILA), and Eng. Ahmed Al-Mallak, Founding Director of the Award.

The session addressed the Rifaat Chadirji Award and its significance, the role of landscape design in improving the built environment, and the importance of integrating environmental considerations into design. It also showcased international models and experiences, highlighting the architect's role in achieving sustainability.

Furthermore, the session emphasized the importance of architectural competitions as an educational tool for developing students' skills and bridging the gap between academic theory and professional practice. This contributes to raising environmental awareness, encouraging the adoption of sustainable design solutions, and stimulating participation in international initiatives.

This participation underscores the college's commitment to developing its students' capabilities and strengthening its role in supporting environmental and sustainability issues.
