The Memorandum of Understanding between the university and Huawei has been activated during the Huawei 2nd Trainers’ Forum (2025). This agreement aims to integrate Artificial Intelligence programs into academic curricula, expand digital education in Egypt, and empower thousands of students with the technical and digital skills necessary for the job market, enabling them to contribute to Egypt’s digital ambitions and community development. This initiative is supported by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, and Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, President of the University.
In this context, Prof. Dr. Nabila Mohamed Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Information Systems and Computer Science at October 6 University, stated that under this new agreement, a free AI program will be activated for more than 10,000 Egyptian students, including 7,000 at October 6 University.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hossam El-Bahairy, Head of Huawei Academy at October 6 University, added that the program is fully available online through the Huawei Talent Platform and is offered in both Arabic and English, ensuring flexible and easy access to training content anytime and from anywhere.
Dr. Mohamed Eassa, Lecturer at the AI Department and Executive Director of Huawei Academy at the university, confirmed that the program consists of seven interactive and simplified sessions designed to explain the basic concepts of AI in clear and straightforward language, requiring no prior technical background. It aims to provide high-quality AI education for all academic levels, enabling students to interact with the latest advanced technology tools and applications.
