The Faculty of Information Systems and Computer Science – October 6 University, in collaboration with Huawei International and the Huawei Academy at the university, organized an official conference to announce the launch of the Global Student Competition, which is held across three stages: the local stage, followed by the regional stage, and culminating in the international finals in China.
The conference was attended by:
• Prof. Dr. Nabila Mohamed Hassan – Dean of the Faculty
• Prof. Dr. Hossam El-Behairy – Head of the Huawei Academy at the university
• Dr. Mohamed Eissa – Director of the Huawei Academy at the university
• Eng. Mohamed Younis – Representative of Huawei International
in addition to a wide attendance of faculty members, teaching assistants, and students of the Faculty of Information Systems and Computer Science.
The event included a detailed presentation of the registration steps and participation procedures, along with a comprehensive overview of the training programs and initiatives offered by Huawei to enhance students’ technical competencies in networking, artificial intelligence, and information technology.
Following the conference, an official meeting was held with Prof. Dr. Iman El-Azizi, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, dedicated to discussing avenues of expanding cooperation between October 6 University and Huawei, and exploring new strategic partnership opportunities that support student training and technical development at both the regional and international levels.
This collaboration reflects the university’s ongoing commitment to empowering its students and providing an applied learning environment that keeps pace with the latest global advancements in future technologies.
