Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research,
Witnessed the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Fulbright Commission, in the presence of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, the US Ambassador to Cairo, and a number of leaders of universities and scientific bodies. The celebration included the opening of the "From the Laboratory to the Market" symposium, which highlighted the transformation of scientific research into industrial applications to support the national economy.
*During the celebration, Professor Mahmoud Hafez, Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at 6th of October University, was honored. He achieved an exceptional achievement by topping the list of inventors with the most patents in Egypt for the year 2023, according to the report of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) of the United Nations. Dr. Mahmoud Hafez has more than 20 patents registered in the Egyptian Patent Office, but an international registration allowed him to register more than 70 patent applications in different countries of the world on the six continents. He has more than a hundred scientific research papers published internationally, including one paper with approximately 5000 citations
