Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, President of 6th of October University, Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Amr Nadeem, Dean of the Faculty, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ezzat El-Gharib, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the Community Service Sector organized a diagnostic and educational medical convoy to the Beit Amna Orphanage in 6th of October City. The convoy included the specialties of internal medicine, orthopedics, and dermatology. 15 girls from the orphanage were examined and 5 cases were transferred to complete the examinations and treatment for free at 6th of October University Hospital. Awareness was also raised for all those present at the orphanage about diabetes, its types, symptoms, methods of diagnosis, and complications. Awareness was also raised about the Safe Women's Unit at the faculty and its role in serving the community and ways to communicate with the unit. The convoy was held in an atmosphere of familiarity and cooperation, and the girls of the orphanage wrote colored scrapbooks bearing their impressions of the day.
