The University's Development Convoys Committee organized a medical convoy under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery participated under the auspices of Prof. Amr Nadim, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Prof. Azza El-Gharib, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. The Faculty of Medicine and Surgery participated in the convoy heading to the village of Barqash, Manshiyat El-Qanater District, Giza Governorate. The Faculty participated with four specialized clinics, and the following clinic statistics were presented:
Internal Medicine Clinic: 167 cases
Pediatric Clinic: 188 cases
Dermatology Clinic: 203 cases
Orthopedics Clinic: 120 cases
Total number of cases: 678
Forty-three cases were transferred to the University Hospital for further examination and treatment.
Students from the MSG team affiliated with the Faculty's Community Service Committee also conducted awareness-raising activities on the following topics:
Climate benefits and their impact on public health: 231 cases
How to protect your heart from disease: 197 cases
Food poisoning and intestinal disorders: 214 cases
