Faculty of Medicine and Surgery Report on the Marsa Matrouh Convoy from October 22 to 24, 2025
The Faculty of Medicine and Surgery participated with 9 faculty members:
- 2 Internal Medicine lecturers
- 2 Orthopedic Surgery lecturers
- 1 Pediatrics lecturer
- 1 Otorhinolaryngology lecturer
- 1 Dermatology lecturer
- 1 Chest Diseases professor
Day One
Ras El-Hikma Village
The clinics were fully operational, and all registered cases were examined for each clinic. Appropriate medications were prescribed based on the medication data provided to us in the convoy pharmacy.
After a thorough examination and treatment, we explained how to use the medications for each patient.
A splint was also applied to fracture cases in the Orthopedic Surgery Clinic.
One case was diagnosed a week after the fracture without a diagnosis.

Day Two
- Al-Najila Village
All clinics began operating immediately upon the convoy's arrival, with attendance tripling on the first day.
Work was carried out with utmost diligence and skill.
A pediatrician was called in to examine a child with a seizure in the hospital's emergency room, who provided first aid and controlled the seizure.
An additional 83 pediatric cases were examined.
An orthopedic surgeon performed splints on 6 cases.
X-ray examinations were performed.
Some cases were referred to the Faculty of Physiotherapy.
The chest diseases clinic monitored approximately 30 cases diagnosed with chronic asthma attacks and severe bronchial constriction. Appropriate treatment was prescribed from the medications available at the pharmacy, and the necessary inhalers were written up for purchase if unavailable.
