Faculty Policies

First, the college's policy in the field of education and learning
  1. Adhering to the general rules established by the Higher Education Council regarding the standards for accepting new students and not accepting students who do not meet the required academic qualifications.
  2.  Applying academic reference standards in all scientific departments.
  3.  Enhancing the quality of the educational process and providing the necessary material, human, facilities, and equipment resources.
  4.  Adhering to the scientific specialization of faculty members when distributing courses.
  5.  Requiring departments to announce the various educational resources (local books, international references available in the library, and websites) that should be accessible to students.
  6.  Announcing the examination systems (theoretical, oral, practical) after their approval and adhering to diverse question types to achieve the objectives of the course. Also, ensuring fairness among students in grading and correction methods.
  7.  Adhering to the announced study schedules for all academic years, with modifications only allowed for compelling reasons and with the approval of the Education and Student Affairs Council.
  8.  Working through various means to find solutions to the problem of private lessons.
  9.  Monitoring the employment of graduates in the job market to identify their different needs. 
Second, the college's policy in the field of scientific research and postgraduate studies includes:
  1. Giving top priority to completing and modifying postgraduate regulations in accordance with the latest developments.
  2.  Developing scientific departments regarding postgraduate studies.
  3.  Prioritizing research and theses derived from the college's master's programs to ensure alignment with the college's research plan, with the participation of faculty members based on societal needs. Updating the plan every 5 years.
  4.  Utilizing the college's research laboratories for conducting scientific research, especially those contributing to solving community medical problems.
  5.  Developing joint research with distinguished domestic and international scientific institutions.
  6.  Providing sufficient funding for competitive national and internationally applicable scientific and applied research.
  7.  Establishing mechanisms to encourage international publication and actively working on publishing research in international journals.
  8.  Recognizing and rewarding faculty members who excel in scientific research through awards and honors.
  9.  Organizing local and international conferences and seminars.
Third, in the field of community service and environmental development, the college adopts a strategy for enhancing and promoting community service, with continuous support for community partnerships through the following policies:
  1. Supporting community participation systems with various entities.
  2.  Committing to the college's community service plan and referring to it when implementing each activity.
  3.  Providing sufficient funding for free community service activities in line with the plan.
  4.  Actively participating in national projects for community development and environmental improvement.
Fourth, administrative policies:The College of Human Medicine at October University is committed to implementing an administrative policy based on:
  1. Adhering to the criteria for appointing new staff members as approved by the College Council and documented and announced.
  2.  Adhering to the principles of total quality management.
  3.  Working towards achieving job satisfaction among employees and developing and enhancing their skills.
