Dr. Jacqueline JONDOT, Professor of English at the University of Toulouse has visited 6 October University on March, 2014. She has delivered an eye opening talk on Egyptian graffiti and the revolution. This talk is the second in a series of talks that started last year. This year’s talk focused mostly on grounding graffiti in a historical context that gives it credence. She has skillfully compared the artistic output of the 1919 revolution. Focus geared more toward recent graffiti drawn in the wake of more violence, rape and death that has relegated the elating sense of victory to the periphery. Dr. Jondot’s talk has been well received by both students and professors alike.
