Participation of the College of Engineering in the awareness convoy to Al Nahda School

On Thursday 11/28/2024, the Faculty of Engineering participated in the awareness convoy to Al Nahda School, organized by Prof. Dr. Samir, Vice Dean for Environmental Affairs at the Faculty of Pharmacy. The aim of the participation was to educate students about the importance of rationalizing energy and electricity consumption, rationalizing water consumption, the importance of cybersecurity and the necessary steps for that. The importance of rationalizing energy and electricity consumption, rationalizing the daily water consumption rate and its general impact on the citizen was discussed. Today, with the large population increase, this has led to an increase in the consumption rate and the need for water and energy sources, which have turned into limited sources at the present time. The rise in temperatures has led to climate changes that have negatively affected the available water sources. This has led to resorting to more expensive and energy-intensive solutions. The college representatives stressed the importance of cyber security and how to deal with it so that no personal information is lost, personal accounts are hacked, or identity is impersonated for illegal purposes, and the necessity of securing personal accounts and not sharing any personal information. Under the management and sponsorship of Prof. Dr. Ismail Mohamed Hafez, Dean of the College and Prof. Dr.: Hinar Abu Al-Majd, Vice Dean of the College. Eng. Mohamed El-Mansi and a group of college students participated in the awareness campaign.
