Under the generous patronage of Professor Dr. Mamdouh Mostafa Gharab, President of the University, and Professor Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Faculty of Physical Therapy at 6th of October University celebrated World Physical Therapy Day.
Supervised by Professor Dr. Faten Hassan Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy, and organized by Professor Dr. Mohamed Ali El Shafei, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, the celebration began with an awareness campaign highlighting the vital role of physical therapy in treating and rehabilitating various diseases, as well as the therapeutic services provided at the physical therapy clinics.
The event continued with a special celebration for children who are monitored at the pediatric physical therapy clinic. The day concluded with a workshop in collaboration with the training unit, led by Professor Dr. Moussa Sharaf, Professor of Neurological Physical Therapy and Director of the Training Unit. The workshop was titled: "Hemiplegia shoulder pain (HSP): Causes, Assessment & Treatment."
A number of esteemed faculty members, their assistants, and intern students participated in the attendance and organization of the event, which took place on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
