The Supreme Council for Media Regulation extends its thanks to the Faculty of Mass Communication, 6th of October University, for the honorable and distinguished reception and organization of the delegation of African media professionals and journalists, guests of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Council of 6th of October University received a letter of thanks from the Supreme Council for Media Regulation to the Faculty of Mass Communication and Communication Arts at the university for the honorable and distinguished reception and organization of the delegation of African media professionals and journalists, guests of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Council extended its thanks and greetings to the College.
Last month, the Faculty of Mass Communication and Communication Arts organized a visit by the African delegation of different African nationalities.
They were received and welcomed by Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab, President of the University, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Saleh Hashem, former President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Abdel Basset, former President of Mansoura University.
The College's shield was presented to the President of the Supreme Council for Media, Eng. Khaled Abdel Aziz, and a shield to the Secretary-General of the Council, Counselor Yasser Al-Maabdi.
The visit program included a lecture given by Prof. Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid, Dean of the Faculty of Media, on (Constructive and Positive Media and Journalism), a tour of the university museums under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hanaa Fayed, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, and organized by Prof. Dr. Ghada Mohamed Wafik, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mona Taha Hussein, Professor of Tourism Guidance, Dr. Mervat Maher, Assistant Professor of Tourism Guidance, Dr. Hussein El-Sayed, Lecturer of Tourism Guidance, Mr. Amr Gawish, Assistant Lecturer of Tourism Guidance, and Mr. Murad Shawkat, Teaching Assistant of Tourism Guidance. Practical training was also provided in the computer lab on artificial intelligence applications presented by Dr. Rashed Abu Ramia, Lecturer in the Faculty’s Journalism Department, a tour of the university to learn about the various faculties and facilities, a visit to the university hotel, practical training in the television and radio studios at the Faculty of Media, and the production of television and radio segments and interviews. The visit concluded with the participation of faculty members and auxiliary staff in friendly sports matches in the university’s football and volleyball fields. Basketball was coordinated and attended by Professor Ahmed Allam, Director of Youth Care Department at the University.
The organization was carried out by Dr. Rashid Salah El-Din, Ms. Fatima Mahmoud, Mr. Ahmed Ashraf, Mr. Omar Sayed, Mr. Renal Awida, and Dr. Mohamed Refaei from the Faculty of Media and Communication Arts.
The professors of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at the University provided the delegation with rich information about the history of Egypt throughout the ages during their tour of the museums.
At the end of the visit, the delegation expressed their great happiness and praised the warm reception and hospitality, hoping to repeat this meeting.
