Prof. Dr. Rania Yahya, Director of the Egyptian Academy of Arts in Rome, spoke at an online symposium at the Faculty of Mass Communication, October 6 University.
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab, President of October 6 University, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Temraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication and Arts, the Faculty of Mass Communication organized its first symposium as part of the Faculty's Ramadan Salon and Women's March Celebrations. The symposium was held online via Zoom on Thursday, March 6, 2025. Prof. Dr. Rania Yahya, Director of the Egyptian Academy of Arts in Rome, spoke about the role of women in society and their role in art, women's empowerment in society, and how the Egyptian state has encouraged women's rights. The symposium was attended by faculty members, support staff, and students. Students interacted with the seminar by asking numerous questions, which were answered with joy and enthusiasm by Prof. Rania. Prof. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid also presented her with the college shield in appreciation and respect. The seminar was coordinated by Prof. Rala Mansour, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Rashed Abu Rumayya, Lecturer in the Journalism Department, and Ms. Ghada Abdel Ghani, Teaching Assistant in the Public Relations and Advertising Department.
