The Design Club at the Faculty of Mass Communication and Arts held a seminar today on professional poster creation. Dr. Mustafa Al-Banna, graphic designer at United Media Services, lectured at the seminar, with the attendance of Prof. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Rala Mansour, Vice Dean for Environmental Affairs and Community Service. The seminar was organized and coordinated by Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim, Lecturer in the Public Relations and Advertising Department, Aya Mahmoud and Aya Salah, Assistant Lecturers in the Public Relations and Advertising Department, Ghada Abdel Ghani, Teaching Assistant in the Public Relations and Advertising Department, Sara Nabil, Teaching Assistant in the Public Relations and Advertising Department, and Madiha El-Sayed, Teaching Assistant in the Journalism Department.
The seminar addressed poster design methods, how to choose appropriate fonts and colors for each poster based on its theme and target audience, the significance and impact of colors, and the shapes and effects of each font. The seminar was attended by a group of faculty members and outstanding student club members. At the end of the symposium, Prof. Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid honored the college guest by presenting her with the college shield.
