The "Al-Watad" Project Honors Mothers of Martyrs and People of Determination at a 6th of October Media Celebration.
Al-Watad Magazine, a graduation project for students in the Journalism Department at the Faculty of Mass Communication and Arts at 6th of October University, organized a special celebration to honor a number of mothers of martyrs and mothers of heroes with disabilities. The celebration took place in the college's studio hall.
The event, which began at 10:00 a.m., was part of a celebration of the role of Egyptian mothers and an appreciation for the sacrifices of mothers who have set unique examples of giving and sacrifice, leaving an unforgettable mark on the nation's journey.
The ceremony began with the playing of the national anthem and the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, filling the hall with awe and appreciation. Several guests delivered speeches expressing their gratitude to the honored mothers, emphasizing their pivotal role in instilling the values of patriotism and building generations. Honorees during the ceremony:
• Mrs. Fatima Abdel Raouf, mother of martyr Major Saeed Hamdy
• Mrs. Laila Abdel Aati, mother of martyr Mahmoud Sami
• Dr. Samia Salah Ismail, mother of martyr Captain Ahmed Abdullah
• Mrs. Najat Al-Jafy, mother of martyr Captain Diaa Fathy
• Mrs. Mona Shaaban, mother of hero broadcaster Abdel Rahman Aram, a person of determination
The ceremony was held under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab, President of October 6 University, and under the general supervision of Professor Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid, Dean of the Faculty of Media and Communication Arts.
The "Al-Watad" magazine project was supervised by the Department of Print and Electronic Journalism, with the participation of:

The prominent journalist Omar Hassanein, Managing Editor of Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper, also participated in the external supervision of the project, supporting the students' professional and practical experience. In their speeches, the honored mothers expressed their pride in their sons' heroism and sacrifices, noting that their love of their homeland and belief in the noble message were the source of their strength and steadfastness. Al-Watad magazine emphasized that this honor stems from its journalistic mission to highlight inspiring national role models and promote the values of loyalty and belonging in the hearts of new generations.
