Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Maya Morsi honors October 6 University at the end of the "Start" summit.
Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, witnessed the conclusion of the "Start" summit, which is organized annually to the conclusion of the activities of social solidarity units in universities, in the presence of a group of presidents and representatives of participating universities, and a large number of students and coordinators.
During the activities of the summit, the Minister of Social Solidarity honored October 6 University in appreciation of its prominent efforts and effective participation in the activities of social solidarity units, within a national project aimed at supporting university students and providing the necessary training and rehabilitation for the labor market, and she received the shield of honoring October 6 University, Professor Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zaid, Dean of the Faculty of Information and the Arts of Communication at the University, on behalf of Professor Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab, President of the University and Professor Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.
His Excellency the Minister, accompanied by university presidents, has lost the activities of students inside the exhibition pavilions accompanying the summit, which witnessed a heavy presence of university youth, stressing that "training is the gateway to leadership and a basic pillar for the future of youth, and is a way to determine directions and capacity building."
She also thanked the supportive authorities, led by the participating companies, and Dr. Mohamed Al -Aqbi, Assistant Minister of Social Solidarity and General Supervisor of the Social Solidarity Units Project, also appreciating the efforts of the ministries of higher education, youth and sports, and the Egyptian Red Crescent that plays an effective human and developmental role, especially in supporting the Gaza Strip through a voluntary network that includes more than 35 thousand young men and women.
The Minister of Social Solidarity confirmed that the current summit witnessed the participation of more than 16 thousand students, announcing the opening of 10 new social solidarity units within technological universities, bringing the number of units to 42 units at the level of the Republic.
At the end of her speech, the Minister announced that due to the great demand for training, the "Start" summit will be organized twice annually in Cairo, with the continued expansion of various universities to reach the largest possible number of students, stressing that the ministry is working to extend bridges of cooperation with investors and companies to open new horizons for young people through pioneering and development projects.
