The Faculty of Mass Communication, 6th of October University, participates in the medical convoy in the village of Kerdasa.
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab, President of 6th of October University, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the Faculty of Media and Communication Arts participated in the medical convoy organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector on Friday, September 26, 2025, in one of the villages of Kerdasa Center in Giza Governorate, as part of the university's efforts to enhance its community role and support the villages most in need.
The college was represented in the convoy by Professor Sami Kamal, teaching assistant in the Department of Digital Journalism, and Professor Omar Sayed, teaching assistant in the Department of Radio and Television Production, who made field contributions to the convoy's activities, which witnessed a wide turnout from the residents.
During the activities, Professor Sami Kamal gave an awareness lecture in which he discussed the dangers of excessive use of social networking sites and their negative effects on children and social behavior, stressing the importance of safe and responsible use of technology in a way that enhances digital awareness among different segments of society.
The college's participation comes within the framework of its keenness to integrate theoretical study and practical application, and to enhance the involvement of its students and faculty members in community service activities, in implementation of the university's strategy that pays special attention to social responsibility
