October 6 media symposium to raise awareness of climate change as one of the sustainable development goals.

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab, President of 6th of October University, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and under the supervision and attendance of Prof. Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid, Dean of the Faculty of Media and Communication Arts, the Faculty held a symposium on confronting climate change as one of the sustainable development goals and the draft national plan for adapting to climate change at the Ministry of Environment, in which Dr. DrAmani Hijazi, the technical official in charge of the National Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change project at the Ministry of Environment, explained the effects of climate change on the water resources sector, health and tourism sector, and measures to adapt to climate change in various sectors under current and future circumstances, in addition to talking about the proposed measures to address climate change in tourist areas, the agriculture sector and the health sector. It also addressed building a digital system for the impact of climate change on the relevant sectors.
The symposium was organized by the College's Sustainable Development Club, coordinated by Dr. Maha Shabana, Dr. Lubna Ahmed, members of the supporting staff, Ms. Israa Muhammad, Mr. Ahed Saeed, and a group of students who are members of the Sustainable Development Club.
