The Faculty of Media and Communication Arts at 6th of October University hosted the great broadcaster Salma Al-Shamaa in a symposium entitled "Media....Challenges
And opportunities", and were received and welcomed by Professor Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, President of the University, Professor Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Professor Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zaid, Dean of the College.
During the meeting, the great broadcaster Salma Al-Shamaa spoke about her long experience in media work, reviewing the most prominent transformations witnessed by the media scene in light of the digital revolution, and the changes it imposes on methods of professional practice. She stressed that contemporary media no longer depends on talent alone, but rather requires a combination of broad culture, technical skill, and the ability to keep pace with the tools of the times.
The great broadcaster Salma Al-Shamaa also sent a group of messages to the students of the College of Media, calling on them to benefit from their years of study in refining their skills, opening up to practical training, and gaining field experience that qualifies them to compete in the labor market, stressing that commitment and credibility are the basis of media success.
The symposium comes within the framework of the interest of the College of Media and Communication Arts
At 6th of October University, it links academic study with professional experience, and provides its students with the opportunity to interact with the most prominent media figures in Egypt and the Arab world, which contributes to preparing a generation of media professionals who possess vision, skill, and modern knowledge.
The symposium was organized by: Dr. Kholoud Maher, Dr. Rashid Abu Rumiyah, Ms. Maha Ashraf, Ms. Ahmed Gamal, and Ms. Israa Muhammad.
On the sidelines of the symposium, the great media personality Salma Al-Shamaa judged the "Golden Voice" competition held by the college to choose the best media voices among its students. The first place was won by the student Mustafa Ghazi Radwan, the second place was won by the student Hasnaa Atef, and the third place was won by the student Alaa Abdel Rahim.
