The Faculty of Mass Communication at 6th of October University participates in an awareness convoy at Delta Language School.

Within the framework of the community role of 6th of October University and its continuous efforts to spread awareness among school students, the Faculty of Media and Communication Arts participated in the awareness convoy organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector with a visit to Delta Language School, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab, President of the University, and Professor Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
During the event, Dr. Nadia Mustafa, a lecturer in the Journalism Department, gave an awareness lecture in which she discussed the most prominent dangers of excessive use of social media, including cyber addiction, social isolation, and psychological pressure, in addition to cyberbullying, which is one of the most prominent negative phenomena in the digital space.
Professor Madiha Al-Shahidi, a teaching assistant in the Journalism Department, also gave an interactive presentation in which she explained the foundations of safe and correct use of electronic platforms, stressing the importance of balancing between the real and virtual world, and the necessity for students to be aware of the effects of digital content on their daily behavior.
In conclusion, student Iman Hassan from the Journalism Department distributed an awareness brochure prepared by the college about the dangers of social media and ways to deal with it safely, while encouraging students to think critically and use technology positively
