Students of the Faculty of Mass Communication shine in the singing and playing competition at 6th of October University.
As part of the College of Media and Communication Arts' keenness to encourage its students to participate in artistic and cultural activities, the college's students achieved a distinguished presence during the Singing, Playing and Religious Chanting Competition 2026/2025 AD, which was organized by the University's Youth Care Department on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Iman Al-Azizi, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs.
The students of the College of Media and Communication Arts took on the task of organizing and supervising the competition's activities, as they demonstrated a great deal of professionalism and creativity in managing the event, which received praise from the jury and attendees.
The jury consisted of:
Maestro Dr. Ahmed Awad – Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Music Education, Helwan University, and winner of many awards in music competitions, festivals, and choirs.
Artist Mr. Ahmed Hassan Saad – Soloist of Chanting at the Egyptian Opera House and Maestro of the Religious Chanting Team, winner of five awards at the Creativity Festival.
The event was also attended by:
Dr. Rashid Salah – Representative of the Faculty of Mass Communication,
Mr. Mohamed Lamloum – Specialist in Youth Care Department,
Along with a number of young pioneers from various colleges.
The students of the College of Media proved their artistic excellence, as the two students won:
Maryam Muhammad Saeed – first place in the first category of the singing competition
Judy Adel Muhammad – in advanced place in the third category of the singing competition.
Their performance received praise from the jury, which confirmed the excellence of the voices and their ability to perform sophisticatedly and express themselves perfectly.

The Organizing Committee of the Faculty of Media was also responsible for coordinating the competition segments and supervising the details of the event from receiving guests and the jury until the conclusion, which reflects the skills of media students in managing, organizing and artistic direction of university events.
