The Faculty of Mass Communication, 6th of October University, hosts awareness workshops for the Volunteer House of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Abuse.
 
Today, the Faculty of Media and Communication Arts at 6th of October University hosted awareness workshops organized by the Volunteer House of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Abuse at 6th of October University, as part of the university's efforts to support community awareness and educate students about addiction issues and risks.
 
The workshops were presented by Professor Mustafa Muhammad, Director of the Volunteer House, in the presence of Professor Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid, Dean of the Faculty of Media and Communication Arts, faculty members, supporting staff, and students from different study teams and departments, with the participation of student volunteers from the Volunteer House. The workshops addressed awareness of methods used to combat addiction, the role of youth in spreading awareness of prevention, and the importance of voluntary participation in community activities related to combating addiction.
 
The activities included open discussions with students, a presentation of the efforts of the Anti-Addiction Fund nationwide, in addition to introducing the activities offered by the Volunteer House within the university and how students join it.
 
These workshops are part of the College of Media's plan to enhance community awareness among students and support their participation in national initiatives aimed at protecting society and building a generation aware of community security and mental health issues.
