A symposium at the Faculty of Mass Communication, 6th of October University, on the 16-day campaign to combat violence against women.

The Faculty of Media and Communication Arts, 6th of October University, organized a symposium on the "16-Day Campaign Against Violence against Women", under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and under the supervision and attendance of Mr.Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid, Dean of the College, and Ms. Marwa Alam El-Din, Representative of the United Nations Women's Office in Egypt, lectured there.
The symposium addressed a group of important topics related to women's issues, as it presented the issue of electronic blackmail of women, forms of oppression against women, in addition to women's achievement, especially economic empowerment.
The symposium also touched on the rate of change that has occurred in the last 15 years, including the demand for education, women reaching several positions, including judges, providing job opportunities for women, awareness of the necessity of obtaining a national ID card, and awareness of the effective application and enforcement of laws.
The symposium also discussed the role of electronic media, especially in women's issues such as: the electronic care economy, electronic entrepreneurship, and the benefit to society of equality of opportunities and rights between the sexes.
Ms. Marwa Alam El-Din answered many questions raised by the students during the symposium. At the end of the meeting, Professor Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid presented the college shield to Ms. Marwa Alam El-Din in appreciation of her.
