The 6th of October Faculty of Mass Communication organizes a symposium on visual effects and post-production work.

 

Under the patronage of A.Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab, President of 6th of October University, and Mr.Dr. Iman Al-Azizi, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Mr.Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid, Dean of the Faculty of Media and Communication Arts, organized today a symposium entitled "The Visual Effects Industry and Post-Production Works" at the Faculty of Media and Communication Arts at 6th of October University. Dr. Ahmed Kamal, General Manager of Mercury Visual Solutions, lectured in it. During the symposium, Dr. Ahmed Kamal discussed the most important features of the visual effects industry The role of post-production technologies in developing media and cinematic content, in addition to reviewing practical experiences from the labor market, gave students the opportunity to learn about the requirements of the field and ways to engage in it professionally.

At the end of the symposium, Dr. Ahmed Kamal was honored and handed over to him by A.Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid College Shield.

 

On the sidelines of the symposium, the college announced the results of the Best Advertisement Competition, third edition, with the participation and judging of Dr. Ahmed Kamal, General Manager of Mercury Visual Solutions.

The results of the competition resulted in a victory:

First place: Student/ Habiba Muhammad

Second place: Student Iman Safwat.

Third place: Student Yasmine Hussein. 

 

The college had previously organized the first qualifiers for the competition and the competition's judging and organizing committee included A.M.Dr. Marwa Sobhi, Acting Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Head of the Public Relations and Advertising Department, and Professors of Department A.M.Dr. Amr Rady, Assistant Professor, Dr. Lubna Ahmed, Lecturer in the Department, and Dr. Enas Al-Saeed, Lecturer in the Department, and the event was coordinated by: Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim, Lecturer in the Department, Mr. Ghada Abdel Ghani, Assistant Lecturer, and Mr. Menna Allah Rashid, Teaching Assistant in the Department.
