Journalist Mohamed Amin, Editor-in-Chief of October Magazine, at a symposium at the Faculty of Media, 6th of October University.

 

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab, President of 6th of October University, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and under the supervision and attendance of Prof. Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid, Dean of the Faculty of Media and Communication Arts, the Faculty organized today a symposium entitled "The Newspaper Magazine from Idea to Publishing", in which the journalist, Mr. Mohamed Amin, Editor-in-Chief of October Magazine and Dar Al Maaref Portal and a member of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, lectured He was received and welcomed by Professor Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab, President of the University, and Major General Hisham Farag, Director of University Security.

 

The symposium addressed the foundations of the work and implementation of the newspaper magazine, starting from choosing the idea and patent until issuance and publication, and emphasized the importance of relying on reliable sources. Professor Mohamed Amin also reviewed the history of October magazine since the great writer Anis Mansour took over as its editor-in-chief, and spoke about the distinction of journalistic work in light of the challenges of the era, and how to adopt technological innovations to develop journalistic work.

 

At the end of the symposium, A.Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid honored the journalist, Mr. Mohamed Amin, and presented him with the college shield in appreciation of his important role and career in the field of journalism. 

The symposium comes within the framework of the college's keenness to play an educational and awareness role in the college's cultural season and to transfer expertise and professional experiences to students. The symposium is organized by Dr. Maha Al-Wahsh and Mr. Maha Ashraf
