Executive Director of the Egyptian Women's Initiative and Website, Dina Al-Mahdi, in an online symposium at the Faculty of Mass Communication, 6th of October University.
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab, President of 6th of October University, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and under the supervision and attendance of Prof. Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid, Dean of the Faculty of Media and Communication Arts, the Faculty organized today an online symposium entitled Digital Media and its Role in Empowering Egyptian Women Globally: The experience of the Egyptian Women's Initiative was attended by Ms. Dina El Mahdi, Executive Director of the Egyptian Women's Initiative and Website, a writer and translator, and in the presence of a number of faculty members and students.
The symposium discussed the emergence of the Egyptian Women's Initiative and its role in supporting girls and women in obtaining their rights and how to confront the challenges they face.
At the end of the symposium, Ms. Dina Al Mahdi presented several tips to students and tools that enable Egyptian women to reach the international level.
The symposium comes within the framework of the college's keenness to play an educational and awareness role in the college's cultural season. The symposium was organized by Dr. Maha Al-Wahsh, Dr. Rashid Salah, and Mr. Maha Ashraf
