 «Kayan» and «Between Two Nations» won for the students of the Faculty of Media, 6th of October University, in the 10th Al-Shorouk Festival for Student Creativity.

 
Under the patronage of A.Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab, President of the University, and Mr.Dr. Iman Al-Azizi, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, under the supervision of A.Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid, Dean of the Faculty of Media and Communication Arts, the college students achieved a distinguished achievement during their participation in the activities of the Tenth Shorouk Festival for Student Creativity, in a new affirmation of their academic and professional excellence.
 
In the field of journalism, the graduation project «entity» won second place in the paper newspapers category, under the academic supervision of A.M.Dr. Shaima Abu Mandour, Head of the Press Department, Dr. Sarah Abdel Aziz, Dr. Maha Al-Wahsh, and M.Eng. Maha Ashraf, Mr. Sami Kamal, and under the external supervision of Mr. Zaki Al-Saadani.
«Kayan» magazine came to provide a distinguished human journalistic experience, as it dealt with the stories of women who defied difficulties and wrote golden lines for themselves in the record of successes, celebrating every woman who made a real difference in her community. The magazine also reflected the work team's belief that the future holds more empowerment and leadership for women, and gives them an independent entity, through what students presented from various forms and professional journalistic arts, within a framework that combines human depth and professional media treatment.
The «Kayan» project team included: Basant Mohamed, Amal Abdel Ati, Habiba Hossam, Iman Salah, Hikmat Ismat, Nour Hani, Israa Nader, Tariq Eid, Hassan Ali, Mustafa Mohamed, Ahmed Maher, Mohamed Ahmed, Kamal Yahya.
In the field of radio and television, the fourth-year students of the Radio and Television Department won third place with a documentary film entitled «Between Two Nations», in the documentary and documentary films category. The film presented a deep vision of the role of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif as a global scientific beacon that has succeeded throughout the ages in embracing students coming from different countries of the world, and providing an integrated educational and humanitarian system.
The film highlighted the institutional efforts to develop educational curricula and programs, and the pivotal role of Egyptian scholars in consolidating Al-Azhar's position globally, in addition to highlighting Egypt's position as an incubator of science and culture and an extended civilizational message.
The film was prepared by fourth-year students, and the work team included: Farida Mamdouh, Mahmoud Mohamed, Yasmine Ashraf, Malak Ihab, Shahad Al-Sayed, Darine Sharif, Shahad Ashraf, Rawda Hossam, Jumana Ahmed, Roaaa Kamal, Ahmed Ayman, Nada Tariq, Basmala Akram, Nariman Najeh.
