Dr. Rania Al-Sawy presents a workshop at the College of Media Carnival for Sustainable Development.
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Mustafa Ghorab, President of 6th of October University, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and under the supervision and attendance of Prof. Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid, Dean of the Faculty of Media and Communication Arts, the Faculty organized today a workshop entitled Media, Community Responsibility and Climate Change, as part of the activities of the Sustainable Development Carnival, which is held within the framework of the Environment Week for the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at 6th of October University.
The workshop was presented by Dr. Rania Al-Sawy, researcher at the Agricultural Research Center and training and development officer at the Climotopia Foundation.
The workshop discussed how to present ideas that serve sustainable development through the media to raise community awareness of the importance of preserving the environment and climate, in addition to presenting advertisements to reach all categories of the public to raise awareness of preserving the environment. Students participated in practical and interactive activities to implement production that achieves sustainable development goals.
At the end of the workshop, Dr. Dina Farouk Abu Zeid, Dean of the College, honored Dr. Rania Al-Sawy and presented her with the College Shield in appreciation of her excellence in environmental work and her presentation of a distinguished workshop that was greatly admired by the attendees.
